The God of the Woods by Liz Moore

An excellent literary mystery. The writing is top notch with a complex story line, believable characters, a summer camp setting and rich people behaving badly. It's the perfect blend for summer reading. This brand new title is available at the library and on Libby.

A middle grade book for all ages! Sophia and Sophie are best friends, live next door to each other and are 77 years apart in age. Sophie is from "the old country" and has a hard time remembering things. Sophia is not letting her best friend go anywhere if she has anything to say about it. A sweet story. One to hold onto. Old King by Maxim Loskutoff

The fictionalized story of Duane, a newly divorced man coming to Montana to build a cabin in the wilderness. He hopes to find peace among the odd inhabitants in town. Little does Duane realize, he is now the neighbor of the notorious Unabomber, Ted Kaczynski. A great book that talks about the beauty of nature and the nature of good and evil. For the Love of Summer by Susan Mallery

This is a story about a successful business owner named Erica that has spent many years building a franchise with her reputable salons. Despite having a daughter, Summer, together; her ex-husband, Peter, decides to divorce her and remarry a younger woman, Allison and start a new family with her. Summer wants to maintain a close relationship with everyone. Then they learn that Peter's been imprisoned for business fraud when Allison is eight months pregnant with her second child. Everyone is hoping it's just a mistake. Summer turns to Erica for help with her step-mother and asks her to move in with them while Peter is in prison. The Gathering by C.J. Tudor

Tudor has done it again with a detective who is a specialist in vampyr killings in Alaska. Add a retired recluse Sheriff to the mix plus two murders.
