August Staff Recommendations

Professional Bull Rider, Emmett Bush learns that his family’s ranch is in financial trouble. He has been approached by, Romance Ranch, a reality TV show to “find romance and a mate” for a lot of money. Emmett has absolutely no interest in participating with the show; however, this would be the best way to save the ranch so he agrees.

Emmett learns the show’s new location consultant is the sister of his archrival on the bull riding circuit and he knows that she’s off-limits. He’s already experiencing ‘drama’ agreeing to be the prize bachelor on the TV show. Getting to know Julia will only create additional conflict within the show and within his personal life. He doesn’t want the headache that will accompany what he deducts is an innocent friendship. But being just acquaintances is easier said than done. This is a light and fun summer read. ~ Erin

Miles reluctantly lets Taylor tag along as they search for answers in a town full of secrets. This was a fun enemies to lovers romance mystery read! ~ Alesia

Nine Lives by Catherine Steadman

Catherine Steadman delivers a fun but dark neighborhood thriller. Frankie has just moved in after her divorce. While trying to get used to her new life she attaches a “cat cam” to her beloved Blue who roams the neighborhood during the day. Frankie gets more than she bargained for when Blue returns with footage of what appears to be a woman being held against her will. She sets out to find the truth and gets herself into trouble in the process.
