Michigan Science Center: Squid Dissection

Event Details

  • Date:

The Michigan Science Center is back in 2026. Students will work in groups to perform a squid dissection with the help of a trained Mi-Sci Educator. Take a close look at the squid’s body parts, discover how it eats, moves, and survives, and compare its features to our own.

This activity is for students in 3rd through 8th grade. We will accommodate as many as space & supplies allow.

Keep in mind that this particular activity will have a strong smell. If you’re sensitive to smells you may want to skip this event and/or visit the library on another day.

Made possible through a gift from the Muehrcke family.
