The Compound by Aisling Rawle

The game is simple; complete a task, earn a reward… but is it worth it to be the last one standing? Surrounded by cameras that are watching their every move, twenty young and gorgeous people enter the compound and try to outlast each other for a reality show that will give them whatever they want… as long as they play along. As the number of contestants dwindles, the rewards get bigger and better… but the tasks become increasingly more difficult and push the contestants beyond their breaking points.

This book is a wild ride! If you love watching reality TV, this is the book for you. Available at the library and through Libby. ~Alesia

Rage by Linda Castillo

More people have been murdered in Painter's Mill, and this time it's more gruesome than usual. This book is the typical Castillo (#17 in the Kate Burkholder series). It's fast-paced and interesting. Did I mention that Kate gets into another fight? This brand new title is available at the library and through Libby. ~ Leslie W.

Bellevue by Robin Cook

Mitt Fuller was starting his first year residency at the renown Bellevue Hospital. He was following in the footsteps of four Fuller generations. Mitt has always had a secret sixth sense to the nonphysical. Some patients die unexpectedly, and he learns some disturbing history of his  ancestors. This is a page turner and hard to put down. Available at the library and through Libby. ~Bonnie

Our Last Resort by Clemence Michallon

Clemence Michallon's sophomore thriller does not disappoint. Her totally engaging writing style sucks you into the story of Frida & Gabriel. The story is told in alternating timelines from Frida's perspective following the pair throughout their years in a cult, their subsequent escape, years of distance and eventual reunion at luxurious resort Ara. While at the resort a young woman is found dead and Gabriel becomes a suspect. The two are forced to reckon with their past and whether or not they can still trust each other after all these years. The dynamics of their relationship is fascinating as they have clearly trauma bonded over their years spent under the teachings of Emile and the circumstances surrounding their escape. How well do Frida & Gabriel still know each other? Can their bond withstand the test of time and deception? I can't wait for the next immersive thriller from this author. Available at the library and through Libby. ~Leslie M.
