Don’t let the format of this book scare you. It’s very easy to follow as the writer floats back and forth between past and present; the what was, the what is, and the what might have been.
Yes, this is ultimately a romance novel so all of our readers who enjoy a good love story will find a place here. But The Two Lives of Lydia Bird also tackles grief and how hard it can be to be caught in its grip. There’s a bit of magical realism: just a sprinkle for those who enjoy that sort of thing, and to give others a little taste.
I loved this book by Josie Silver. It’s beautiful and sweet and heart wrenching and funny. All the feels with this one.
