Good As Gone by Amy Gentry

If you’re looking for the new The Girl on the Train, this is it! A wonderful suspense novel about thirteen-year-old, Julie who is kidnapped from her bedroom at knife point. The only witness is her younger sister who is hiding in the closet. Although Julie’s family is deeply traumatized by the event, they manage to stay together and find a way to move on. Then- the unthinkable happens- eight years later as they are sitting down to dinner, the doorbell rings. Julie is home.

But is this the real Julie? Can you even recognize a family member after eight long years? Where has Julie been? I truly enjoy a novel that can keep me guessing. Despite the difficult subject matter, I couldn’t put this book down. I cant’ wait to read Gentry’s next one.
