Join the Forsyth Township Public Library & Forsyth Senior Center for this FREE musical presentation on the history of ski jumping by Bill Jamerson. This event will be held at the Gwinn Clubhouse in the big room. Light refreshments will be served.
Jamerson is an Ironwood based singer/songwriter. He will be dressed in ski jumping clothes with guitar in hand to tell stories and perform original songs he wrote based on interviews with ski jumpers he interviewed 25 years ago. Most of his stories are about children and teenagers who jumped in the 1930s and 1940s. There are stories about older brothers teaching younger brothers, how they trained all day and how as teens they traveled across the Midwest to compete at tournaments. There are lots of laughs and many heartfelt stories that every winter enthusiast will appreciate. We hope you can join us!
