Coffee and Conversation: Navigating Difficult People (Without Losing Yourself) & Blackout Poetry

Event Details

  • Date:

This month’s Coffee & Conversation is for anyone who struggles with difficult conversations, complicated relationships, or boundaries that feel hard to hold. We don’t always get to choose our coworkers, family, neighbors, or the people we interact with regularly. This isn’t about confrontation but about communication, clarity & self-respect.
What we will talk about:

* Why it’s so hard to say what we really mean

* How people-pleasing and staying quiet protects us, but also costs us

* What boundaries actually sound like (not the harsh version we fear)

* How to express ourselves clearly without blowing up

* Tools for staying grounded in uncomfortable conversations
Attendees will also try the art of blackout poetry using old book pages. You can also cut out words & phrases that resonate & create simple poetry. No artistic experience needed.
Coffee will be on with treats provided by Donna Adams.

This event is free and will be led by Amanda Perry.

This event is for both adults & teens.

If weather conditions are a concern, please check our Facebook page for the most up to date information on possible delays or closings.
